How long does it last?
The evening begins promptly at 6:30 PM at the Medieval Market in Mjøsparken with an immersive walking performance, so please arrive early. The audience then takes their seats in the amphitheatre for the main performance, which lasts approximately 60 minutes. Please allow around 90 minutes in total for the full experience.
What should I wear?
This is an outdoor performance in February, so dress as you would for a day on the ski tracks: wear wool base layers, winter boots with room for thick wool socks, insulated trousers and jacket, a warm hat, and mittens. Hand and foot warmers are also recommended. Don't forget a seat pad.
Tip: Stay warm, but please be mindful of the people sitting behind you when choosing your hat or hood.
Is there an age limit?
We do not recommend the performance for children under 10 years of age. It includes loud sounds, open flames, combat scenes, and horses moving at speed. Children are welcome, but parents and guardians should use their own discretion.

Where does the audience sit?
The audience sits in the stone amphitheatre in Mjøsparken. The performance takes place outdoors, so we recommend bringing a seat pad for extra comfort. Seat pads can also be purchased at the Medieval Market.
For VIP ticket holders, a sheepskin seat pad is provided for use during the performance.
Can I buy food and drinks?
Yes. Hot food and drinks are available for purchase at the Medieval Market both before and after the performance.
Please note that bringing your own alcohol is not permitted, in accordance with the venue's alcohol licence.
How do I get there, and where can I park?
The performance takes place in Mjøsparken, Brumunddal, with free parking available near the venue.
Brumunddal has excellent rail connections both from Oslo (via Hamar) and Trondheim, and Mjøsparken is just a 10-minute walk from the train station.
Information about coach services and other travel packages to the performance will be published here well in advance of the event.
Is the venue accessible for people with mobility impairments?
The audience areas are fully accessible. If you require additional assistance or accommodations, please contact us well in advance and we will find a solution for both transportation and seating.
Can I bring a stroller or a dog?
No. Due to the terrain and immersive part of the performance, strollers are not practical. Dogs are also not permitted, as the performance includes horses and open flames.
What language is the performance presented in?
The performance is in Norwegian. However, it features plenty of music and spectacular visual storytelling, so you do not need to understand Norwegian to follow the plot or enjoy the experience.
An English-language programme is available.
What can I experience at the Medieval Market?
Bonfires, traditional crafts, hot food and drinks, and live music. The market is open both before and after the performance and is well worth arriving early for.
